Program information

The Certificate in Sustainability Business is completed alongside your Bachelor of Commerce program, and both new and current students are eligible to apply. It may not be completed alone. Current students can apply to the certificate program through the BComm Academic Success and Advising Centre once they're admitted and registered in the BComm program. 

As a student of the Certificate in Sustainability Business, you will: 

  • Expand your understanding of business and sustainability through interdisciplinary exploration. 
  • Participate in experiential learning activities that will have you tackling real-world challenges and contributing to local and global change. 
  • Combine familiar business majors with an additional focus on sustainability business.  
  • Graduate with both a Bachelor of Commerce and a Certificate in Sustainability Business. 

Required courses

  • BCOM 1201 Exploring Sustainability 
  • Choose 5 elective courses from four focus areas: responsible business, solidarity, ecosphere, and humanity.
